  Well, this is a dilemma for me- choosing the man or the bear. I am terrified of bears and am pretty sure death by bear will be my fate. I'm not sure how many bears we have in the area- the number should be, zero, but tell that to a bear. In a TIK TOK survey asking eight women which species they would choose if they were hiking in the woods and were confronted by bear or human male, seven preferred the bear.   There is an image which has gone viral of a woman at a baseball game carrying a baby and a stack of food trying to get back to her seat as her husband just sits there and doesn't lift a finger to help her. The fans noticed. The announcers noticed. The only one oblivious to her was her husband and he has received death threats all because he didn't stand up and help her.   Tom Cruise is coming out with a new movie. It appears to be the movie where a certain thread unraveled on a certain social media website where 99% of the comments claim to hate him. I think the main post was about the amount of time he was in makeup for his new role. Six hours. Okay, that's a ridiculously long time to be sitting in a chair as people apply stuff to your face.  Before I wrote yesterday's rant, I started a post - actually, I finished a post about Bluesky and where it might be headed. I deleted it because sometimes the truth hurts. I feel Bluesky's days are numbered. The influencers with the million followers on X have been disappointed when they post on the alternative. I think it's largely due to the sycophantic feel. Every comment is just an approval of the original post multiplied by 1,000. It gets boring after awhile and for the influencer maybe a bit annoying. It's an ick.   I don't know a lot about computers and technology. In my day you had to use a phone to connect to your computer which took up half a room because they were so big. I never really had use for them until a friend gave me his old computer. Then, I was hooked. When I walked into our local Internet service center, my first question was, "Does this come with Google or do I have to pay to get that?" My daughter got sick of me asking questions so I learned as I went along. I know YouTube was a big deal for me. It was magical. Lolcats and Myspace- wow! Then came Topix and Blogger.   I use Google as my search engine. I've tried other apps like Bing and Opera but I feel tied to Google because it's got all my passwords and viral information, so it's like being held hostage. And, I don't like changes of any kind. I'm still at the same bank I've had for years, although I'd have to drive 90 minutes if I ever needed to do a walk-in.  Yeah, I don't like change.   Warning! This  story is not for the faint of heart or the squeamish type. It's about poop and how one handles a very bad situation in public. I saw a blip of this the other day but ignored it because I had other things on my mind, but then I noticed the pooper apologized for pooping and running and doing both because they obviously were taught you never quit, even as poop runs down your legs. In this case, the incident happened during a race which was taking place in China and this time it happened to a woman. I remember years ago seeing a photo of a male runner running through the streets as onlookers were aghast by the pooping running man.  What's with y'all?  I don't know anyone who doesn't like pizza and most of us have a favorite place. Mine was Joe's Pizza in Wheeling, Illinois. I used to sit and watch the elderly man fling and toss dough into the air to create magic. It's been years since I've been there so now I order from something a bit closer- and definitely not a chain establishment where gross, cardboard entities are slapped about.   We now know without any doubt, American football causes brain damage in its players. And yet, absolutely nothing is being done to either correct how the game is played or to completely end the sport.
