Nearing The End For Russell Brand

Image
We are nearing the end of the Russell Brand trial. The defense is telling the jurors that everything Brand did was perfectly normal behavior.  He asks... (I'm paraphrasing) Would a psychopath ask if she was enjoying it? Would a psychopath asked for her number afterwards? Would a psychopath allow you to take his picture? And this defense...  Of the thousands of women he has had sex with, why have only three accused him of rape? Well, I'm not a psychiatrist, but I'm going to give my opinion. A narcissistic person would most certainly ask if the victim was enjoying the rape. Brand was so cocky, so sure he was immune from any consequences he allowed the women to memorialize their time with him. Killers and rapists keep little mementos of their deeds. He wanted them to never forget him.  And gosh, he only raped three women. No, only three women came forward.  I just hope the jury can see through his creepy facade. The fact that not one person would testify for him ...

It's Not A Good Thing

Throughout my blogging years I've written about Martha Stewart. When I was young and married I wanted the Martha lifestyle, although on a much lower scale, but I wanted green garland on the mantelpiece and handmade ornaments on a freshly cut Christmas tree. I spent hours re-creating elaborate gingerbread houses and setting fabulous dinner tables. Every holiday I'd pull out her books  and immerse myself in her fakery life. I'm not that person anymore. Now I make cereal for dinner and use toilet paper to wipe my mouth.  We all know Martha is a brand who has a staff of people doing her bidding. She has made her empire of dirt. She recently admitted her family suffered due to her focus on her career. She wasn't perfect and we even forgave her for her serious misdeeds. She came out of her prison stint still smiling and taking the hits with humor. She was never the bright star afterwards but she has done well, even if she's friends with Snoop Dogg. She's still around ...

A Heart, A Brain, The Noive

It was kind of like the Squid games, only it was meant to hire the thugs who pointed weapons and killed the contestants. People, mostly men, mostly right wing, all desperate, signed on to be an ICE agent. Some did it for the usual reasons - they are crazy and wanted to murder someone. Others just needed money and $50,000 is a lot of money. Jeez, the things you could do with $50,000 in this country. But a months worth of groceries and fill your Dodge Ram truck. You might even be able to buy that double wide mom has hidden in her back yard. The problem is after all these wannabees were hired, they had to be fired. Vetting wasn't a priority. It still isn't since we see agents sticking guns in the faces of citizens walking their dogs. We see ICE agents running over people because they're crazy, angry motherfuckers and cowards who take off. But, thousands of new hires were soon dumped and told to move on. Oh, and by the way, give us back that initial $10,000 we so generously g...

Due to hearing loss from listening to Baba O'Riley at 120 decibels (jet screaming) and working with CNC machines, I don't even bother listening to a movie on the tv anymore because the volume would be too high and I still wouldn't be able to comprehend human voices, so I just use closed captioning and read lips. I watched a movie yesterday that had me laughing, although comedy wasn't its intention. The title is, 'Night of Blood,' starring Corey Taylor from the band, Slipknot. I tried to find out where this gem was filmed because it has a foreign feel to it, like it was filmed in Poland or the Czech Republic. Everything is crumbling and gross. No offense, Poland and CR, but you have to admit there's a creep factor, which is why filmmakers like to make scary movies there, plus it's probably cheaper and this movie is really low budget (I believe they may have borrowed one of Corey's Slipknot masks to disguise the killer) The plot is this 🫴 Six people...
