The End Of Brand

 


My heart, my heart. The dark is lifting.

Russell Brand is going to prison. The jury didn't take long to find him guilty on one rape count and three sexual assaults. The judge has already told him he is looking at a long sentence.

What a fabulous week. We lost our way but now we're found. Make room for the Tate brothers, Russell. You'll probably soon know how it feels to be anally raped. 

Sentencing will be on November 9th. They don't waste time in England.

  😬 I consider myself an avid reader. Having noted that, there are very few books I have read from The Guardian's best 100 books of all time. My list is less than a dozen, even counting a few I started and never finished. 174 prominent writers participated in creating brain food for your pleasure. I Don't Want To Harp On It

Do you ever ask yourself, "How? How does he get these women to fall for him?" That's a good question. And I think many of you would say, "Money." Or, you, over there, "Power." Well, yes, usually when we see a good looking woman, one who just passed puberty, locking arms with a guy that looks like Abe Vigoda, we can all assume she's sold her soul for money. A pair of Jimmy Choos means more to her than self respect.  But, when it comes to the orange man, there's something there- something I don't see but other women do. He was somewhat attractive when he was young, albeit the frat boy, prowler type. Now he's just a living, rotting carcass.  So, why does Natalie Harp want him so badly, and who the hell is Natalie Harp?  The only thing I know about her is what I have heard from the Daily Beast, which isn't much.   So let's just think for a few minutes, rationally. What would actually happen if AI took over the job market? People go into hysteria at the very idea of machines and math taking over what humans have been doing since the beginning of the neanderthal. Farmers would no longer have to get up at the crack of dawn to feed hungry cows. A machine could milk the cows (already in progress) plant the seeds (ditto) pick the produce and drive it to market. It can also create a plan, a budget, solve further future problems and give you eight beautiful hours of sleep where you don't have to go to bed at dusk. You could go to a movie in your self driving truck. You now have precious free time where work is not 24/7. You might receive a text in the middle of the night warning you a cow is sick but AI farmer is on it. It has diagnosed the problem, ordered the medicine that will be sent by drone and all you need to do is comfort the cow in the morning.  Police officers will no longer worry a...
