The Other Side Of Tuesday
A million years ago, when we had the chance to vote for our very first woman president, I was so absolutely positive Republican women would defy their husbands and vote for Harris. Maybe some did, but as we now see, it wasn't enough. It truly bugs the hell out of me when I now see how confident the left is, believing a blue tsunami is coming November 3rd. They are making plans and moving in. I say, STOP!! Just, stop. I know we want to put a positive spin on this possible victory for democracy, but it's not in the bag. It's very possible we may not get the blue wave we need. I'm sorry to put a damper on your dream, but let's just wait because I cannot go through another moment thinking all is well and then hearing the devastating results.
People are willing to eat feces covered lettuce as long as immigrants are hauled away. They will live in their cars as long as they have their guns and Bibles. They are stupid, stupid, ignorant buffoons but they can pencil in a circle and vote for the turd. They will come out of their bunkers next Tuesday and vote for more of this tragedy. 88 million voters stayed home in 2024. Most will again stay home. I don't believe the clips I see where the once magafied has seen the light and will vote blue. I don't. They will walk in there and vote red, even if that decision takes away everything they have.
I'm not going to be at ease until I see the final results because it might just be like the night all light was extinguished within me.
So please, it's ok to be hopeful. I love seeing Obama out there. I love seeing the lone heroes at Trump's rallies call him out. But... stop planning what we do the day after the 3rd because it might hurt, it will hurt, if it doesn't happen.
So, I'm not going to write anything more about politics until we're on the other side of Tuesday.
Let's get out there and put this motherfucker away.
For Alex and Renee.
