Odysseus, The Longest Damn Social Event Of The Season Written By Homer

 


Still more about the stupid movie that hasn't even come out yet but film critics have seen it and rave over it. Sadly, Elon Musk and I disagree with them, but thankfully for different reasons. He's just a racist pig. I am angry about the alleged changes Nolan has made regarding Odysseus and his moral compass. In the poem, he didn't have one. He slaughtered and raped and pillaged without remorse. In the movie, he is woke, so woke. He's a killer with a heart. The other thing is when he stays with the witch goddess, Circe who intends to drug Odysseus so that he will forget his wife and child, Hermes, the god of purses, is on to her so Odysseus doesn't get fooled. Yet, he still stayed for a year. He stayed with Calypso for seven, although, allegedly as a captive. 

These might be minor changes to Nolan but that changes who Odysseus is altogether. He had no moral conscience. He didn't feel remorse or regret for murdering hundreds of people. That is a huge change because y'all need a hero. Odysseus was no hero. Maybe that's what Homer was getting at. He's just a guy with obstacles in his way. He'll get home when he gets home. 

Oh, and in the book, when Odysseus finally arrives home, he slaughters the layabouts who had no weapons since they were locked up. Nolan gives them weapons as if that will justify the carnage. 

But, my opinion matters not one bit. Sounds like Nolan has a hit because the movie is full of action, blood, war, rape, pillaging, sex and a few tears for home. It's no wonder we are who we are when this shit is admired, hailed as a wow. 

And, since the movie hasn't even been released yet, I could be wrong. We shall see.

The Best Books Of All Time?

  😬 I consider myself an avid reader. Having noted that, there are very few books I have read from The Guardian's best 100 books of all time. My list is less than a dozen, even counting a few I started and never finished. 174 prominent writers participated in creating brain food for your pleasure. They each contributed ten of their favorite reads and someone somewhere somehow tabulated the favorites. Without further ado, the number one book of all time is ...... Middlemarch. The fucking hell it is. Lol. Like art, what you like is subjective. Some people believe Manga is good stuff. Others prefer historical novels, blah, blah, blah. I suppose the list is supposed to be taken more seriously because actual writers who make a living writing books have listed what they deemed the best read. I'm not a writer. Benny, Benny And No Regrets

  It's just so hard to keep up with maga creeps. Here's Benny  Johnson, the guy who started the rumor that DC was a cesspool. He also claimed his house burned down while his family was in it. He's a liar. His house never burned down. You really can't believe much of what this asshat says because he has a habit of playing with facts. He also likes to steal other people's words. He has been fired and suspended numerous times for plagiarism, at least 41 times. It just boggles my mind when these people blatantly lie, then are outraged when called out. People like Johnson, Trump and Leavitt have probably lived their whole lives creating a make believe existence where lying is the norm.
