Tough Love For Tara
Girlfriend, you're 50 years old and you look like shit. No one spiked your drink. You had way too much and should have been cut off, but, it could be more than booze which made you a spectacle. What happened, Tara? For the life of me I don't understand why people do this to themselves. And don't tell me I don't get it. I've watched my mother do exactly what you have done. You try to chase away the demons. Instead, they seek you out. You try to quiet the constant noise which runs inside of you. You try not to look back, but are terrified of the future, so you flail and flounder and make a fool of yourself.
Get up off the floor, girl. Wash your face, eat a fucking sandwich, anything! And begin again. Stop looking back because you are not going that way. Stop dreaming of the big payoff or the big role because that's all fantasy. It's not real. Somewhere inside of you is a very brave woman because once upon a time you went after a dream. Maybe things didn't work out as planned. They rarely do, but stop denigrating the wonder of you.
Now put on some shoes, call an Uber and go find Tara.
It's tough love. It fucking hurts, but you need to hear it. You are strong enough and worth the fight.
One. Step. At. A. Time.
