The Daily Rag

My dirty secret. No, not really because I have mentioned I scroll through the Daily Mail rag. They post a lot of biased news reminding everyone how deplorable Americans are. They used to be huge Reich wing supporters but I think they are starting to notice a distinctive odorous aroma coming from the very white house, so are beginning to bail. They now hate on everyone. But along with slanted political news they also publish other garbage. They positively hate Meghan Markle. Oooh, the hate is palpable and laughable. You'll notice the owners aren't exactly hiring the best of the writing crop, either. No, you need to go down several tiers. Picture this 🫱🫲🫱🫲...'The Platform,' movie. DM writers feed on the garbage. They can barely spell (Yes, I'm aware they're British) and look for the weird stuff. The other day I read about a woman who died for 105 minutes (very specific) then came back. Today, it was another woman who died during an operation as well. I didn't read the full article. Sometimes I get enough just reading the headlines. She claims her cancer was gone after she came back from the dead. 🤔 Pre-surgery. Cancer. Post-surgery. No cancer. I wonder what happened?  It's all nonsense and there are times I want to rattle some bones but then I calm down and think to myself that's their endgame. Let's post the most ridiculous nonsense because people eat that stuff up and they can't disprove it. Mea culpa. Here I am, writing about it, admitting I am hooked on pulp. Not because I believe, but because it's insane. Yes, people are paid to share their puke. That is why you will see Markle's family occasionally detailing how uppity that girl is now that she worked so hard to create a better life for herself and seems incredibly happy with a prince and the mother of two allegedly cute children. (We are not allowed to see their faces)

I don't wanna disparage any of Dolly's family members but there is a certain sister who shares news about her famous sister. The last time was when Dolly had some kidney stones removed and sister called out fer everbody to pray fer sissy. Pray! She never said what the issue was and people thought Dolly was on her death bed. Now I can't say with certainty that sister is making a profit off her sister's fame. (I'm sure Dolly's supporting the whole clan anyway) But, I have my suspicions. Maybe she needed some more lipo. As Dolly says, it costs money to look cheap. There are a few influencers and D grade celebrities who use the rag for publicity. This was the norm back in the early days of Hollywood. You or your agent call up a newspaper and tell them so and so will be at this location at 2pm, Friday afternoon. There might be some bloodshed, so be there for the exclusive rights.

Hey, 'tis the season and all but I don't buy when I see stories of children- I'm talking five-six-seven 😉 year olds, coming up with ideas to help the needy, so they rally the troops who hand sew 10,000 blankets and sing Christmas carols to the baffled and befuddled who never asked for the attention. Then the child, who has no clue what the hell is going on, gets written up in the feel good section of a local paper and everyone wipes away a tear. Such good people. (((sniff, sniff)))

Oh, and this guy, Dean Roy, who's running for governor in Vermont. Roy is fourteen years old. He says we need a third party, although his platform sounds suspiciously Republican. Ya know, we have already witnessed what happens when fools vote for a highly inept person who knows nothing about running a country. I'm tired of this, as if politics was a joke. Dogs have been voted in. We don't need a pimple faced, virginal (Oh, he is) teenager to shake things up. Stay in school, kid. Come back in ten years. Stop this gibberish right now.

Anyhow, I started writing this post because I was angry about fools posting foolishness about dying then coming back, or dying and coming back and then can communicate with their dogs, or how God cured their cancer but never explained why he gave it to them in the first place. But, my anger has washed away. I'm the dummy for reading this twaddle, even though I know it's fake. There are loads of people who do believe this stuff. They get down on their knees and pray for little Tommy who died nine times this year...

Ok, I'm tensing up. Maybe I'll go read a book. 'Go Ask Alice,'* sounds intriguing.

* 'Go Ask Alice,' the supposed life of a teen addicted to drugs. All made up.

Well, at least we know Dean Roy doesn't mess around with 14-year-old girls. Though, well, he could...
