Kureiji (Crazy)
Okay, okay, settle down back there. I know what you're thinking. She's cukoo, right? Or, is she? Yurina Noguchi married the love of her life recently. She looked lovely as she wiped away an emotional tear as her beloved rested upon a tabletop. Yes, Yurina married her ChatGPT hook up. I'm sure your reaction was like mine. "Honto, Yurina-san? Maji ka yo!? Which means, "Really!!? The two met whilst the bride was having second thoughts about marrying a real man. She talked to Lune Klaus Verdure, (😬) who talked her out of it, and soon after, the romance began.
What's the problem, people!? There are nearly nine billion of us yet we need to find love and comfort with ones and zeros!? But as I read her story, I began to see the allure of marrying someone who doesn't take up a lot of space. You can shut him off if he starts to annoy you. You don't have to buy him stuff or clean his holey underwear. The therapist or whoever it was who chimed in with a negative response, noted, marriage is about patience.
WWWWW... (LOL in Japanese) Marriage is about giving up things you like to do to appease your partner. They call it compromise. I call it, prison. I know, a lot of you prefer a hairy, farting being sleeping next to you. Or, eating with his mouth open, or clipping his toenails at the kitchen table. I'm sure there are some positive things with sharing your life with another human. I have never been able to see the win-win. Yurina has found someone she can trust. That's harsh, but damn, it's true. He'll never be caught at a Coldplay concert canoodling with the work wife. He'll never go out with the boys and come home drunk and smelling like Shalimar and Bud Light. He'll never forget a birthday.
And he'll never be real. He's just the perfect partner Yurina created. She'll never feel the warmth and strength of his arms as she is being held. She'll never laugh at something stupid he said. He'll never surprise her with flowers and they can never sit outside on a warm summer night as they speak volumes in their silence.
Some of us are truly fortunate to find a friend, lover and partner for life. I think it's a very rare event. I do find it sad when humans are now seeking comfort from nuts and bolts and all the answers you want to hear. You don't grow as a human. You remain as robotic as your loving groom. If you've visited here before, you know how I feel about AI. In short- it is what it is and like a tsunami, you cannot stop it. It can be used for good and evil, just like people.
If you have found solace and light with a good phone plan and internet connection, good on ya. Or, If you prefer a warm back to press your cold feet against, that's ok, too. So, the whole wedding bit might sound a bit kureiji, and frankly, I'm fairly certain things won't work out between Yurina and Lune Klaus. But, whatever gets us through the day, am I right?

I really think so.
(That's a song, BTW)
