Dem Daze

Uh oh. Seems Kamala Harris hit some nerves and burned some bridges with her new book, '107 Days,' which chronicles her quest to be the first woman to become president. The book doesn't even officially come out until the 23rd of September but the media sources are already humming.

Pete Buttigieg is not happy because Harris confesses he was her first choice yet went with the safer choice. She claims it would have been just to much for Americans to accept - a black woman, married to a Jew, who has a gay man as a vice president. He says she should have given more credit to the American citizens.

Knock, knock. Hellloooo, Pete. The American citizens voted for a racist, narcissistic, vile and alleged pedophile. We certainly know he's a rapist. The people who voted for him knew that, so don't be giving credit where none is due.

She was not happy with Tim Walz. Nice guy that he is, she was right. He's too nice, maybe a bit naive in believing the two parties could have worked together. Who knows, perhaps with a decent president and VP the Republicans would have been willing to at least be civil with each other. That ship has sailed.

I'm not going to buy the book. Naturally, I preferred Harris over Trump. Her one flaw (of many she admits to) is being too honest and too thin skinned. Another in my opinion was her husband. I got ick vibes from him. But, he wasn't running for a political position. I was also bothered by her response to Trump during their debate when he said immigrants were eating cats and dogs. Instead of responding with a serious denouncement, she laughed. I wish she had taken that moment to look him in the eye and tell him what a bold face lie that was. Sometimes you have to just keep your mouth shut as a politician. Keep your cards close. She doesn't have to do that now. Whether she still wants to remain in the political maelstrom is another question.

This country still considers women second class citizens. The Reich wingers consider them baby incubators and a warm place to stick their dicks in. As long as women enable that archaic belief we will remain objects to play with.

Harris learned from her mother not to take shit from anyone. I admire that. I wish her well.

After Trump- if we ever have normal elections again- they can never again ask, "Is America ready for a _______ president?" We survive this and we're ready for anything!!!

I just get the feeling Harris and Obama have checked out. I understand why, but the wolves are gathering.
