Today's Beauty
When did this become the object of desire?
Cat eyes, duck lips, a nub of a nose
G cups, rock cheeks, the look to acquire
Snow capped teeth to blind as they pose
The Natasha Fatale of Bullwinkle fame
Searching for originality
All looking the same
They lack personality
So must compensate the void
By cutting and filling such pliable flesh
Frankenstein's monster, a thing to be toyed
Liposuction the fat, mend holes with fine mesh
Insert bags of saline, the bigger the better
Saw toe bones and rib cage, fill in the butt
A size zero Versace pink and white sweater
Eat rice cakes and air to maintain no gut
I'm guessing it began with one jester's joke
A natural beauty morphed into a clown
All by a comical cartoon of one simple poke
The standard now set, the ideal upside-down
