Buy Your Groceries Now, Pay 50% Interest Later!

I haven't been paying too much attention to the new woke Cracker Barrel debacle. First, it's weird to see it in my face constantly on the so called left leaning social media source. That's you, Bluesky. Why give so much attention to such a silly thing and now here I am, writing about it. It's just so ridiculous to see third hand, how angry former Cracker Barrel crackers feel about a change in logos and some restaurant makeovers. What is so woke about a boring yellowish logo that doesn't even look like a barrel or a cracker!? I've been to the restaurant one time in my life. I knew the kind of people who enjoyed it because I had a racist coworker who loved it. It was 2007 and he was still calling people, "coloreds." He got angry when I told him we don't say that anymore. Then his pasty white face turned a beet red. I corrected him every time. So, it was not my choice of restaurant when it was suggested. I wasn't in the driver seat and there was nothing else around so we went inside. You enter a gift shop and wait and wait and wait to get inside the sanctuary of chicken. The gift shop plot is pretty clever because I do like stuff and they had some really cute stuff. Nothing with confederate flags or Nazi signs, but rocket lamps and yummy cookies. I bought a kitten kitchen timer I still have. So, then finally we enter the restaurant which was nothing impressive as far as I could see. Lots of old people. Lots of kids with tired looking parents. There was what seemed to be a homeless woman who just rambled about until she was swept away. We placed our order and waited some more. Our server disappeared. My friend finally had to go talk to the manager and we waited some more. I don't remember if music was playing. I do know it was loud and crowded. Eventually our meal came. I believe I ordered their world famous biscuits. Were they good? I don't remember and if I don't remember, they weren't that good because I still yearn for the best cup of coffee I had at the Buffalo Grove train station or the onion loaf at Hackneys. I still even smile when I recall the teriyaki and rice I had at the Highland Park hospital when I was fifteen.

Anyway, talk about distractions and diversions and absolutely the stupidest non issue going around besides screaming for the Epstein list, it makes me wonder if anything I'm reading is real. I just watched a Tik Tok video of a woman who was talking about Floridians now using buy now, pay later loan facilities to buy groceries. This just makes me want to give up. Here we are railing about a stupid logo which angers stupid people and we are feeding that! Start bringing up the fact that loan sharks are taking advantage of the elderly and families that are living not paycheck to paycheck anymore because we are way past that. I know I used my credit card to buy groceries back in the day to get through a week. $25 went a lot further than it does now. I just spent $75 for groceries that might get me through another week. Honestly, I would steal from a grocery chain before I ever went to a bnpl for anything, especially for food. The fucker in office is designing some useless ballroom and the oval office looks like a pimp hangout and we allow this to continue. I will bang pots and pans the day the fat blob dies. In the meantime, let's discuss real problems and seek ways to get these people out. I don't care how that is done. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Those Pay Loan places are awful! They tried to get rid of them in Tennessee but the people who owned most of them were "the finest families in the state" and, of course, had great lawyers. Despicable to profit so greatly from the poorest among us, but that's America.
