Trump's Distractions

Let's discuss the other thing Trump doesn't want you to talk about and that's the attempted assassination that really wasn't much of an attempt and more like a staged set up with Thomas Matthew Crooks being made the stooge.

One year ago, today...

Newsweek has an interesting article where a private investigator was hired by an anonymous client who thinks Crooks did not act alone. There was electronic devices found that didn't belong to Crooks. Crooks had very little social media interaction. He was a good student, studying engineering. His parents refuse any interviews so we know very little about Crooks. His political views were confusing. He supposedly supported Trump yet donated a small amount to ACT BLUE in 2021, when he was 17, not even eligible to vote. There was no manifest found, no evidence to show how he felt or thought or was planning. He's an enigma.

What isn't a mystery is the silence from Donald Trump who likes to sit in the dark when he's all alone at night and post endlessly about people who have wronged him. Has he once ever mentioned Crooks? Does he ever mention being shot and nearly killed? That's a traumatic event. I would think he'd want to discuss that all the time. Every single day, because Trump loves people to admire him. He survived an assassination attempt. Does he mention the firefighter who was killed that day? The wife of the firefighter still wants to know why the FBI failed that day? Did they? Perhaps their plan succeeded, albeit with some human collateral damage.

Although Crooks had some experience with firearms he was not a skilled shooter. In fact he was rejected from his high school rifle club for being "dangerous." His father bought him the AR-15 he brought to the rally that day.

How does a guy, who witnesses say was acting weird, manage to bypass security stationed everywhere? Either they are truly inept in their jobs, or, their plan worked perfectly. The death of one spectator and wounding of a few others was an added bonus, so, better than the original plan, perhaps?

Look for a loner who wanted to be a somebody.

"Hey, kid, how'd you like to help us protect the president of the United States? Sure, bring your own rifle. We'll set you up on the roof so you can get a good view. This will be something to tell your grandkids about one day! Remember, don't shoot anyone. Just keep an eye on the president. We'll get you a badge and everything. Don't mention this to anyone, kid. You're the right man for the job."

As Trump clutched his ear, fell, jumped back up like a puppet on springs, the secret service were waiting for the shot, the one from a camera. They made sure his head was exposed so everyone could see the blood and the fist bump.

It's all so hard to believe isn't it? Considering the fact that we witness the rounding up of innocent human beings by men in masks, is it really that hard to believe Crooks was set up? People will do anything for the orange man. They will go to prison for him, lie for him, hide evidence for him.

I doubt the man sitting in his shorts in the dark who threatens a comedian and a billionaire with deportation ever gives one thought to that day. He doesn't think about Crooks or the firefighter or the crowd. His only concern is the idolatry of Donald J Trump.

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist. I usually scoff at such things, but there are so many questions that will most likely never be answered. That doesn't mean I'm going to forget about it, even if Trump wishes it would go away.

* An added afterthought as to one reason Trump remains quiet. I'm going to guess he had no idea people would die for his charade. It was a way to ensure he keeps his mouth shut about the truth.

* When I started writing this I had no idea it was the one year anniversary. I thought it was later in the year. Weird. Anyway, Trump's sort of response.
