Pray, Ryan, Pray It Away

 

When I write a post here, I try to make sure what I'm writing is fact based. Given the times we live in, it's not easy to verify some breaking news. There are a multitude of versions of the same story regarding Ryan Walters so it's not easy being me, searching for truthiness, but I try. 

This Ryan Walters story is weird because after I reading about six news sources I'm still not able to picture what is going on. 

In case anyone decides to read this in the future, Walters is the Oklahoma superintendent who wants bibles in every classroom, not just Christian classrooms, but every single Oklahoma school will carry them.

So far, we know the conservative right wing bible thumping hypocrites are just that. They hide behind a wall of morals they never intend to follow themselves. There isn't a day that goes by where a god fearing, unwoke blowhard isn't caught with their pants down. 

So, what has Ryan done? The tale is vague. He was having a meeting, sounds like a bunch of people were in the room, maybe, or was it by zoom? Two of the school members say they witnessed an old video of naked women on Walters tv screen, which was behind Walters. Why no one else saw it then is odd. The Daily Kos says the images were on his computer. So far, naked women, as one witness claims, with nipples and pubic hair, you know, basically describing a woman, or, a man for that matter, but she's pretty sure it was an old video made in the 60's. That's pretty specific information. She claims she yelled at Walters to turn off the tv, stating he looked pretty flustered but got up and shut off the tv. 

I'm not sure what happened next except the two school members snitched. Now authorizes want to look at Walters electronic devices. If what I read was true on one site I went to, Walters denies it all, calls the whistleblowers liars, a tactic he learned from the orange man, deny, distract, accuse the accusers. It works great for Trump, and the GOP uglies have caught on. Just deny and say something horrible about  his accusers to get the pressure off them. 

Anyway, I cannot figure out the logistics of this meeting. Were they all at a round table? Were they in a courtoom type setting? Why is the TV behind him? Maybe he's innocent and some scalawag turned on some weird stuff of women from sixty years ago. 

As far as I know, naked women walking around isn't exactly pornish. But what do I know. People get off on weird stuff, and ... when there's smoke there's probably a five alarm fire. Maybe. If I had a better understanding of this whole event I could see how this would play out.

Maybe the guy is actually the creepy god loving believer with a mission to spread the word, even to Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Buddhists and every other cultish belief, who is being set up. He's not a likeable guy. He's a pain in Oklahoma's ass, even though the state runs blood red. One more month before the school doors open and citizens want this problem solved. 

Even though Ryan Walters is the epitome of everything I despise in a human, this is weird, and he should be allowed due process. There will be updates to this confusing only in America, tale.
