Now Why Would Trump Want To Give Us Money?

I'll be the first to admit maths is not my strong suit. I could not explain to you what exactly tariffs do. Somebody is paying taxes on items purchased. The left says it's the US consumers who pay the tax. So then why aren't other countries willing to work with us if we're the ones getting the shaft? If college educated economists can't agree on whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, how the hell are we supposed to understand it all? I just watched some local news guy grin in orgasmic wonder saying Trump's tariffs are absolutely working. And now the orange man would like to reward the American people with that one time check. Yeah, here we go again. Josh Hawley would like every citizen to receive a $600 cash reward for making tariffs great again. Then the reporter notes that probably won't happen although he's the asshat who brought it up and apologized because he brings it up every time he's on the air. The cowards have gone home. There's no one around to even consider the thought. Fiscal conservatives want the debt paid down so forgheddaboudit.
I cannot verify what the reporter is saying about the tariffs working is true or just more propaganda. At this point I wouldn't know where to go or who to believe. Both sides are going to stick to their story so we wait it out and see if Trump got it right after all.
But let's say every American gets $600. First of all, big fucking whoop. That won't even cover most people's rent for a month. They could buy some groceries but eating that $600 is sad. A trip? Have you gone to a nice hotel lately? There's your one night stay, to sleep in a strange bed and listen to the guests next to you argue all night. (My last experience) And as a critic of the Reich regime could I really take it and use it? I know exactly what it is and exactly why it's back on the table. (((Pspsssppsss, Epstein)))
Trump wants us to be independent, to not rely on any other country for anything. No more cheap crap from Temu or Shein. I've already noticed Walmart has jacked their prices so high there's no fun searching for deals because they don't exist. I can no longer pretend to hope I can buy something for $5. The cheap stuff runs in the $10+ area. Sure, there's the dollar store- the dollar store which is now the $1.50 store. Still a good deal? When it comes to soap or laundry detergent, maybe. Do you really know what's in that soap? Everyone is playing shrinkflation with packaging their products. It's an absolute insult to we the consumers. Look underneath an individual size yogurt cup one day. Companies are deliberately misleading you.
One thing I'm pretty sure of, we will just keep paying higher prices for everything. Greed runs deep. So even if everyone is wrong and Trump was right, we the people are screwed.
I'll be sitting by the mailbox, waiting for that check to arrive. I could use a fan for my bedroom.
