Are You There, Barack? It's Me, Margaret

He remains silent as America cries

Has he turned his back to spite us,

were his words of hope just lies?

Our hands are tied by one crooked POTUS

Nothing

Nothing

But silence

We didn't betray you, we didn't forget

I believed in you, in your ideals

Of my allegiance I have no regret

replaced by one who makes deals

No words of encouragement

do you hate us all so?

Do you no longer agree with your statement?

Hope is inside, don't let it go.
