All The Good Comedians Are Dead
Why do men think feces is funny? They laugh at fart jokes and poop jokes, the grosser the better, and yet, try and get them to change a baby's diaper.
I mention this because I had the great misfortune of tuning into 'Bad Thoughts' on Netflix, starring Tom Segura.
Segura is (allegedly) a comedian. He finds humor in sh*t and shock.
'Bad Thoughts' certainly lives up to the title. In the first short skit an assassin is up on a roof aiming at a man sitting at a sidewalk cafe. The sniper aims and ends up shooting the server, then for some reason has a massive fit of diarrhea which is shown in streaming technicolored vomit inducing reality.
I sat through one more which was sort of funny, but still so vile and uncomfortable to watch. A business meeting where the MC notices a man in the corner wearing a VR headset and mimicking sexual acts, all the while claiming he's cleaning business files.
The only reason I stayed this long was because of the teaser in the beginning where a man (Segura) is handed a cup of coffee which isn't what he ordered. The barista is an insufferable ass and you know he's going to be punished, but they end it where Segura gets a bad thought look.
Segura likes to stun people. I guess he gets off on their reaction. He will shout a slur in someone's face for a laugh, his own. I'm guessing 12-14 year old boys love him as does the incel crowd. Oh, and whoever approved this garbage to be shown on Netflix.
I admit I don't go out of the way to watch comedy. I used to like Jim Gaffigan until he made a disgusting "joke" about a plane going down. Even women comedians tend to want to shock these days, talking about periods and yeast infections. Haha, hilarious. Not. I prefer subtle humor, finding the funny in everyday life, using big words instead of, shit, poo, crap, crabs, fart...
Well, I've given this man more attention than he deserves. I miss George Carlin more than ever.
