HELLOOOO, Wisconsin!

I consider Wisconsin my home, even though I was born on the other side of the border. (Illinois) My most precious memories are here. As a child, I spent the summers in Montello with my grandparents. I crossed the border many times with my girlfriends to go to bars, legally. I met my husband here. My daughter is here.

Wisconsin is red. My county is red. Illinois is blue. I like their governor very much. He's light within the darkness. We have a liberal governor, but he's a quiet, make no waves, nerd. He's a good guy, but he's no Pritzker.

I have been debating for a very long time whether I should go back to Illinois, a blue state. I just feel so out of place here.

As much as I love the cows, the cheese curds, the smell of the lake in the morning, I don't like the red hatters.

Tomorrow is a big day in Wisconsin. People will decide whether to vote for Brad Schimel or Susan Crawford for State Supreme Court Judge.

For me it's a no brainer. Vote Schimel and go back to 1953. Women will be arrested for making decisions regarding her health and welfare. Even if a young girl is raped by her father, no abortion. He says our female judges are "driven by their emotions." Schimel will be in the pockets of Musk and the orange man. He will bow down to the clown.

Is this the guy you want, Wisconsin?

This is no longer about political party alliance. It's about morals, ethics, tolerance, kindness, justice, respecting the rule of law.

Don't fail me, Wisconsin.

Regarding the outcome, I may have to break up with you and go back home.

For any Wisconsinite reading this, get out and vote. Stop this madness we have been subjected to for the last three months. Turn this clown car around and run it into a wall.

BTW: There will be a Hands Off protest downtown, Saturday. I'll be there. Let's make our voices heard.

Didn't you date the guy who pulls the door off in that famous Victory Auto Wreckers commercial?
