Was it Murder?

 

Oooh, a mystery is afoot, and it involves a well known actor, Gene Hackman and his wife. And a dog. 

Apparently, Hackman was found at the foot of a staircase. The wife was found in the bathroom, with pills scattered about. The dog was in the bathroom with her. Two other dogs were still alive. 

Seems no one had seen the couple for quite some time, so you can imagine the scene.

Let's play detective....

Old man with a younger wife, although she was in her 60's. He was 95. 

They argue at the top of the stairs. A push, some regret, some pills, nosey dog. The end.

Or, man trips over dog. Wife kills dog. Regret sets in. Pills. The end.

Or, it was murder by a handyman. The door was open when some workers came, so that's suspicious.

I'm sure more will be forthcoming soon and Netflix will be sure to carry a few of his movies, the French Connection being one of his best.

March 3rd update 

According to a pathologist who is just guessing at this point as we all are, since Hackman had a bad heart he may have suffered a heart attack. His wife runs upstairs to get his heart medication, hence the pills scattered about. She may have fallen and hit her head succumbing to her injuries. The dog might have died from dehydration.

Gosh, that is so sad. 

*Update: March 8. The news media has published the cause of deaths. Hackman's wife had hantavirus an infectious disease caused by rodents. She apparently died a few days before her husband, who died from heart failure.

Wow. More questions. Where did she get the virus? What about the open door? It looks as if Hackman was not exactly in a state to help himself. It's probable he opened the door ( if the door was open)

Case closed.
