  Well, I don't know her other than she's John Mellencamp's daughter and she has cancer, but reading this article about an interview she had gives me some insight.  According to her own words she was in a lot of pain for a very long time but avoided going to a doctor. I get that. I've put off a recent bi annual visit because I absolutely hate going, but I go. A few years ago I found a sore right under my eyebrow that wouldn't go away. Fortunately, I went to a dermatologist who determined it was skin cancer. I got the necessary surgery and all is well. Same with feeling pain in my stomach and again having surgery because I didn't wait. I didn't hope it away or ignore it. In many instances, we can tell when there is something off regarding our health, our bodies. To have the wait and see mentality is the difference between life and death sometimes. So, supposedly an investigation took place but news sources now say OMES asked Walters which of his tech devices would he like to share with them. Again, what the fuck! There are a few books which I have read when young that have stayed with me always. I probably was too young to fully understand what happened to Anne Frank after they were discovered on this day, August 4th, 1944, after hiding in their secret annex for over two years. I cannot imagine what they went through on a daily basis, always in fear, perhaps, that the day they dreaded finally happened. Anne's father was the only survivor of the concentration camps, where Anne and her sister most likely died of typhus.  There are several ideas about how they were found out. One being the relative of one of the family's in hiding with the Franks.  I will never understand why we do not learn from the atrocities of the past. We are seeing in real time what hatred and intolerance breeds. Jackie in the Vermeil Room  Uh, sooo, where were those roses? I know some of you are up in arms over the orange man paving over some grass, and that's exactly what it was. I don't see a rose anywhere during Jackie, before Melania, after Melania and now, in any images I look at. I see some cheap ass tulips and not exactly a garden of Eden. I took a tour pre COVID, during a heat wave and I was underwhelmed. Everything was clean, but old. The rooms we were allowed to walk through were small and meh. I don't remember seeing any rose garden. Every president is allowed to make their own mark I would assume. I doubt they can paint it pink but I don't know and I don't really care.   I'm just going to pretend I'm living in the 1600's and hope I don't get the plague. I'm not sure if killing the messenger who brought the King bad news was truth or myth, but our orange king seems fine with firing anyone who brings him bad news. In this case , the Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner was summarily dismissed because the jobs news wasn't good. The orange man with the cankles is now going to hire someone who's going to make up stats to please him.  Are we having fun? I'm not sure how he's going to keep us all from seeing the truth, especially when we start seeing boarded up restaurants and local businesses closing and people sleeping on sidewalks. He'll be blissfully ignorant as he designs his ballroom and cheats at golf.  Seriously, anyone want to take care of this? My armpits are itching. Might be plague boils.

I'm not sure what is made in America anymore that we can buy.  So, as the tax paying noobs in this debacle we will be a bit more choosey where we spend our dollars.
