Sunday Confession

"Bless me Father, for I have sinned. I've been cheating this past week. I was very good at first, but the temptation was just too strong, Father. I've never done this before and the very first time I had the opportunity I fell. I fell hard. He's so darn cute, though. I wake up in the morning and think about him. I stay up late, looking at his adorable face and wanting more of him. Help me, Father!"

Relax, it's a puzzle, guys. I haven't done a puzzle in a long time. The Thingy household had two things in abundance, books and puzzles. We were poor but never lacked brain food. I never really enjoyed putting puzzles together but it's what you did back in the day when the rain came down and you were stuck inside the house. A few weeks ago I saw this cute puzzle on Temu. Yes, Temu! I thought, why not? Eventually it arrived and when I opened it I found a cheat sheet. 👇

What the hell is this!? There's no cheating in puzzling! I scoffed and tossed the sheet aside. Now I knew I was no Karen Puzzles, a young lady on YouTube who can put together a puzzle in no time. Since it had been awhile I knew my brain had to adjust. I always start with the frame, which was easy... until I got to the top portion where the color is the same. Well, okay, I'll go by shape. Unfortunately, this puzzle uses the same damn shape. Well, I'll just take a look see at that cheat sheet. Each puzzle piece has a number on the back and the sheet will show you exactly where every  piece goes. I don't ever recall coming across this in my puzzling days. Anyway, it will only be for this little section. 🤫🫢🤭

Wow! This is easy and I don't have to think at all. It's kind of like AI! No brain cells in use here.

It sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? In the end I'll have a cute puzzle but I was merely a tool. I'm not even half way done and I wake up in the morning convincing myself I can do this without cheating. I'm a good girl! Oh, that cheat sheet is so tempting.

"Three Hail Mary's and no dessert tonight."

"Amen."
