Russell Brand Trial

Yesterday was the start of the third week and near end to the prosecution's side of the Russell Brand trial. A former assistant who worked for Brand for about a year described some of her interactions with Brand and how he treated women. She claims she never saw him assault a woman but his behavior towards them was enough for her to realize she needed to leave. She was frightened, not for her own personal safety, but a fear within that she would start to normalize his behavior as others around him had done. She goes on to reveal two male aides witnessed one assault by Brand and laughed as they watched. She said Brand thought of sex constantly. When he wasn't working, he was hunting for prey. He could be a complete charmer and many women were enticed by him, but if a woman wasn't interested, he would shut down. The former assistant recalls the transformation was terrifying to witness. It was "normal" for Brand to walk around in just a robe and underwear, even when working and giving interviews. It was normal for him to tell his staff to find him women. Out of his own mouth, "Everyone from 16 to death is fuckable."

In the next coming days we will hear the defense and we all know what they are going to say. The women asked for it. So what, he got a little rough. Why didn't they go to authorities? They want his money. They want to punish him for using them. They wanted more. They knew exactly what they were getting into and now they just want attention because women love attention. Brand is a good, Christian man, with an adoring wife and beautiful children. He doesn't deserve this horrible treatment and lies made up by scorned women.

Yeah, just another normal day. And sadly, he may walk.
