Mor On Brand
I'm going to continue to write about the Russell Brand trial until the very end. I was shaking as I read the latest testimony from some of his victims. His wife is in the courtroom and as she listens to the women talk about being anally raped, forced into oral sex and dismissed as males around her laughed and shrugged at her need for help, she seems to do the eye roll. At one point when a woman shared a certain trait about Brand his wife looked at him, apparently tossing metaphorical daggers. Maybe she is familiar with his foreplay habits. Grab breasts, grope, shove, sloppy kisses, rape.
After one victim told the courtroom she initially had consensual sex with Brand, he then anally raped her. She screamed for him to stop. He did not. When he was done he told her to clean up the mess.
So why didn't these women say something? Do I really need to answer that?
Why did these women seem to submit instead of screaming their heads off? Because they were afraid they'd be fired or accused of enticing- asking for it.
The other reason is because we still believe when we are with a man and he becomes amorous, rape won't be the next step. I think this unfortunately is where we women must change our mindset. Believe every man wants to rape you until you can learn to trust him.
Damn, that is fucking sad.
I believe every woman who was harmed by Brand. His wife is a victim as well but hasn't seen the light yet. I understand that but I know someday she will. I also know whatever Brand did to these women he is doing to her.
