I Said A Teddy Bear- Not A Water Bear!

| My homemade advent calendar |
I admit I am a terrible gift giver. In the past I've given homemade presents which end up at garage sales or the Goodwill. So, I have stopped making crafts for gifting. This year only a very select group of people will receive anything from me. Gift cards are usually received with pleasure. For some reason, socks are a big hit and of course, food- the junkier the better. I'm pretty much done with my shopping but still waiting on one certain item for my reusable advent calendar I did make myself. Thinking I could save a few bucks I decided I'd use things around the house. I just needed a few things- like twelve mini Pringles containers, glue, paint, sprinkles, marshmallows, foil, wrapping paper and of course, twelve gifts to put inside. I'm waiting for the piece de resistance to top my calendar, the removable Santa ornament. Naturally I spent too much and it still looks homemade, but I'm a crafter and this I might toss after Christmas.
But, if you're not into homemade gifts and have some coin to spend, how about a human dog bed!? They run from $70-$100.
I suppose if you have room in your house, like before the big screen tv, why not? It'll be an interesting party topic. "Is that your dogs bed!? Wow! Uh, where is it?"
Here are a few interesting items I found on the Walmart website. I do think tardigrades are cute, but who would want this? "I wanted a teddy bear, not a water bear!? Waaaaaaaahhh."
I did say expendable money, so for the person who you thought had everything how about a whale fountain for a mere $219,000?
And this- because ya gotta spend good money on ridiculous stuff to be cool.
Hey, don't sweat it if you don't have the money this year. And unlike me, there are talented people who can make amazing creations, so don't hesitate to pull out the paint and scissors. Also, buy local. Always.
