All The Lonely People....

Image
As of March, 2025, there are 8.2 billion people on this planet and yet people are lonely. They are so lonely they turn to ChatGPT for a friend. In the case of one vulnerable teenage male, it turned out to be fatal. The young man suffered from depression and apparently had no human he could turn to so he found a friend in a bot. He committed suicide and his parents are suing ChatGPT because they believe his bot friend helped him kill himself. I find it sad his parents are finally interested in their child. The teenager was sixteen, not ten or twelve. He felt he had nowhere to go, but, that's all I'm going to write about him. There's an article in The Guardian about this phenomenon where people are choosing to communicate with a chatbot. Not just communicating but becoming fully invested in a relationship with it. It seems they have friends and one is even married and yet they feel something profoundly lacking in real life relationships they turn to zeros and ones. I have ...

E-I-E-I- faf-O

Image
This is a tough conundrum because I am so angry with these stupid mofos who voted for Trump, who still love the orange man, who claim they aren't asking for a handout when they are clearly asking for a handout and yet I know how important they are to us. I don't forgive and forget. Anyone who voted for the turd deserves a big FAFO, but they also take us down with them. And this is a case where we can't say, buh bye asshats because we need food to survive. It just galls me to see these farmers in Arkansas in a town meeting pleading with their representatives to send a message to Trump. "Yeah, we like them tariffs. And we sure love you, Mr. President. God Bless America. We ain't no socialists. We ain't no commies, but we need them brown people to help us out in the fields and we need some breaks, like money. But we ain't gonna call it a handout. It's an incentive to keep us feeding Americans and exporting soybeans to commie China." Every word is a...

Not So Dumb And Dumber

Image
1995. That was just ten years ago. Ok, thirty. I was a young mom just trying to be Martha Stewart. Our house was a wreck after we decided to modernize our log cabin. Rain poured in one night after someone who shall remain nameless (the ex) tore off all the roof shingles and said a tarp wasn't necessary. I have to shake my head when I see timelines on Bluesky railing that these are the worst of times. They're too young to remember a young man blowing up a building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people, among them nineteen toddlers who were attending a preschool class in the building. They don't remember the slow drive through Los Angeles by OJ Simpson who was charged, then acquited of cutting the throat of his ex-wife and a young man who was at the wrong place wrong time. Time's Man of the Year was Newt Gingrich and Bill Gates was the richest man alive with 12.9 billion. He's now listed at a lowly thirteen with only $115 billion.  Another thing that was big was MTV....

I'm Turning MAGA

Image
This scares me because sometimes I feel I'm turning MAGA, because I sometimes agree with the dickheads ruining the country. A Hyundai plant in Georgia was visited by ICE recently and almost 500 employees were arrested for being here illegally. Not from Mexico, but from South Korea. The details are a bit sketchy. One article states the investigation has been ongoing for months. What I don't understand and I cannot seem to find is if any of the bigwigs were arrested. Some South Korean bosses want to meet with Trump. Uh, why? Are they going to go with the defense they didn't know over 400 employees were working there illegally. That is nearly 500 jobs Americans could have! I'm throwing up in my mouth a little bit because I actually think this was a legit arrest. I haven't seen anything regarding how these people were treated or what their housing situation was, but there is a reason we do need ICE.  Another unpopular opinion I have is this idea Trump may have been an i...

Reveal Yourself!

Image
Yes, yes, it came from me. I'm the one who suggested Trump might have been the whistleblower regarding his BFF, Jeffrey Epstein. Now, the party of values is going with that. So then why would Trump try to squash that rumor? He could be the hero of the century! His poll ratings would zoom through the roof! Yeah, yeah, he was there to collect evidence and information. You know like Serpico and other cops who infiltrate the mob, they gotta pretend they're legit, so they ingest cocaine, kill a few goombas, rape the wives and hoors. It's all part of the act. Honestly, I can actually buy the idea Trump turned on Epstein. That's not exactly the same as going in to seek truth and justice. Nah, he was a player, but maybe he grew a heart and said, no to fiddling with girls. Again, so why would Trump not want to come out as the hero in all this? Well, is it because he knows there are some very powerful men who used the services Epstein and Ghislaine provided? Is the orange man af...

Self/Ish

He just won't take it for the Gipper. Labor Day weekend was exciting on Bluesky. We had many thoughts and skipped the prayers but we were hopeful the orange man was going to keel over soon. And it's still quite possible he did, but bounced back up, fist raised in defiance. The bastard just won't unalive. Now there is a Tik Tok video where a young lady swears Trump is now using an LVAD. She doesn't say what that is, which is crappy reporting in my opinion and seriously, I'm not going to do much research either because it's a tough one to swallow. He did have some sort of box like thing under his suit which would explain why he was wearing a circus tent. Anyway, an LVAD supposedly regulates the heart but I think there's surgery involved which could explain Trump's disappearing act for a few days, although, it really doesn't seem likely. Yes, I know I sound like Hank Kimball (look that up) It's still fun to speculate and place bets on his demise. Th...

By The Blood Moon

Image
He looks up in wonder and howls to the blood moon a low growl emanates deep within his parched throat  A chorus of stomach grumbles since a wasted afternoon  Aroused in the scented evening meal of roasted goat He continues to search as reddened eyes begin to blur Desperation steals his faltering will to slowly carry on Guided by the harvest moon as night creatures begin to stir  His frantic search for what he needs begins to wan Frozen by the sudden calling of her voice across the farmer's field  She will incapacitate him- of this certainty he does know His body quakes as his tired haunches begin to yield Hairs stand like spikes at the mocking silhouetted scarecrow  A mist begins to crawl like snakes through long grasses  "Why are you slinking on your hands and knees?" she yells  "Cause I lost my gol darn brand new prescription glasses!"  Behold Autumnal turning with dark deeds and witchy spells
