Yeah, What Did Happen To Common Sense?


 A blogger I read, asked the question, "What ever happened to common sense?" It seems people are doing things that others would describe as absolutely bonkers. I have seen a few things lately where most people would ask, "What the hell were they thinking!?" It does beg the question, "Have people lost their minds!?"

Good Good Golf is feeling the wrath and consequences of creating one of the most insensitive ads ever, and that's saying a lot when it comes to sport commercials, but apparently knocking over a woman as some hilarious parody didn't go over well. Good Good lost many sponsors and their expected show was cancelled before it even aired. Of course now every person who made the decision understands it was probably not a good idea.

Then we have Target selling this costume. 👇


It's just supposed to be a kid in a clown costume but if anyone cares to do some research the costume is offensive. Back in the early 19th century and 20th century, the minstrel show was quite popular. White people smeared black makeup on their faces and acted like cretins. They quickly pulled it off shelves after customers had to inform them that it was a really, really stupid thing to do.

So you'd think Target had learned their lesson, but no, because they brought out another Halloween costume, the German soldier. This time they weren't alone. A few other stores ( Walmart , Amazon) also decided it was a good idea to sell a costume of a soldier who looks suspiciously like an SS thug. 


Ignorance is not an excuse, people. When you are trying to sell your product you need to know everything about it. Just because you're 23 and have never heard of segregation, genocide, Hitler, black face... you don't get a pass, although it looks to be people who should know better who are approving these vile reminders of a terrible time in history. 

You cannot let the Internet guide you or do the work for you. Put down the damn phone, pick up a book, or better yet, ask a friend, "Is this costume with a black child posing like a minstrel player offensive?"

I truly don't want to think what I have been thinking and that whoever approved these disasters knew exactly what they were doing. I'm not sure which is worse- being completely clueless or trying to get this message through. But as my fellow blogger noted, common sense has taken a hike.

   Ashli Babbitt was a traitor to this country. They can have all the ceremonial shenanigans the military likes to present as the deceased has been offered full military honors (We all know who requested that) it still won't negate the fact that she and thugs like her stormed a government building to do harm to others. They shit in the hallways. They carried confederate flags. They brought zip ties, bats and rage. Benny, Benny And No Regrets

  It's just so hard to keep up with maga creeps. Here's Benny  Johnson, the guy who started the rumor that DC was a cesspool. He also claimed his house burned down while his family was in it. He's a liar. His house never burned down. You really can't believe much of what this asshat says because he has a habit of playing with facts. He also likes to steal other people's words. He has been fired and suspended numerous times for plagiarism, at least 41 times. It just boggles my mind when these people blatantly lie, then are outraged when called out. People like Johnson, Trump and Leavitt have probably lived their whole lives creating a make believe existence where lying is the norm.
