They Cain't Quit Hunter

Ok. I think I've made it clear in the past I was not very fond of the Bidens. They're a zillion times better than the orange man, but they always seemed like my distant cousins who I usually only met during funerals and special anniversaries. They were snobs, but, like Brady Bunch snobs. They were the type who had the priest over for Sunday dinner or just over to chat. The children, all eight of them were all perfectly perfect. I was twelve years old when we were at their home for some occasion. It must have been a Saturday night because I watched the girls, in their pink bedroom, get ready for their dates. The boys were outside playing basketball in the driveway. I admit I felt a bit jealous, but also kind of annoyed because they completely ignored us. They always ignored us as if we were Satan's spawn. So, ok, it didn't help that our mother was smashed to the gills and dancing the twist in their living room.

I get the same whiff from the Bidens, although Joe seems like the neighbor who talks over the fence about nothing. Plus, he likes trains and ice cream. I like trains and ice cream.

It was Hunter who got the brunt of my wrath. I really believed he was using Daddy as a way to make deals with shady characters, all the while sniffing coke and enjoying orgies at a hotel. He was a mess, to put it mildly.

Why MAGA is still on his ass is beyond me, but they won't quit him and he's not backing down. In fact, he's been so self deprecating, I feel rather guilty. I love that he is so self aware of who he is- a guy with some issues. A real human being who can laugh about being accused of leaving drugs in the White House storage area. His reply was that he'd never forget his drugs. He responded to another magat who called him a nepo baby, living high off his parents, whereby Hunter then shared a picture of his scummy self in a Super 8 motel.

It just goes on and he hits back, mostly, he hits himself, which totally confuses the magats. They want him to cry and have a breakdown. Unlike the thin skinned Trump regime, Hunter can laugh and admit he screwed up.

I still don't know what he was doing overseas. But, it looks like he's doing well now. He looks clean and healthy. He's been through stuff. He's suffered the loss of a mother, sister and brother. He's a lesson for me, one I need to be constantly reminded of- that we only see a small part of someone. There is so much more. The last thing I want to have in common with the right is attacking people for being human.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the burn from Hunter. Who would you rather have dinner with- Joe, Jill and Hunter, or, Donald, Eric and Jr.? I'm not inviting my cousins, though.

I like Hunter's style! I've known people who sank to the depths he did and not all made their way out. I'm glad he did, and as you say, became self-aware. It tells me he was a good person before that and returned to that good person.
