Pedo Blinders
Today, Lesley Groff will be questioned by the Oversight Committee. Groff was Jeffrey Epstein's assistant for eighteen years. She claims she never saw anything inappropriate going on. Never. I've linked this article from The Guardian. It's quite long and really doesn't accuse Groff of any wrong doing.
And yet, she was the one who set up appointments with the "women." She handled complaints, travel issues and tried not to anger her boss. Although she worked for Epstein for nearly two decades, she claims they were not close. He usually responded to her or ordered her a task, using one syllable words. She made a decent salary and was rewarded with certain perks. All of Epstein's employees signed a ND contract. Most have remained quiet regarding what went on in Epstein circles. Those who have spoken out claim they felt something was wrong but hey, it wasn't their business. The author of the article above mentions how we see what we choose to see. It seems almost improbable for someone in Groff's position not to know what was going on. She received emails from some of the Russian girls who were frightened and unsure about meeting up with Epstein. She seemed to allay their fears, telling them everything was fine. Even after Epstein was serving out his 18 month prison sentence, he was allowed to leave and work at home. This was in 2008-9. Every employee was aware of his conviction. He said he was railroaded and targeted by jealous, powerful men. Groff continued to work for him up until his second incarceration.
Eighteen years- and she didn't know a thing. I can tell you when I worked in a small manufacturing company for near ten years, I knew everything about the owner and our manager. We knew their relationship status, where they lived, what they did on their days off, children, favorite drink, meal and so on. Our owner was not a socialable guy. He didn't chit chat with the help, but we knew his first wife was killed in a car accident. We knew he had a daughter he rarely saw. We knew he loved sailing and Port wine.
I'm going to assume Groff will remain loyal to Epstein. Or, she wants to protect herself, and keep the illusion. Again, in the article, it states no one can be charged with a crime even if they knew what he was doing. People are working to have that changed. For Epstein's employees and clients, they have only their conscience to face every morning.
One day I truly hope just one person will come forward and be honest about their involvement. It would be an extraordinary event. Just one of them to speak the truth. "I worked for Jeffrey Epstein and I knew what he was doing with children."
Whether you choose to keep that truth buried deep down inside - it's there, and you knew.
