Don't Name Your Kid, Jared

 


Why does everyone hate Jared? Not Kushner, but the actor, Leto. The first time I saw Leto in a film was during Thanksgiving. We had been invited to a friend of a friend's house. Whilst they cooked in the kitchen they put on the movie, 'Requiem for a Dream.' I cannot convey how disturbing this movie is. It certainly put me off turkey and mashed potatoes. Other than that movie, where I thought Leto was quite good, I know nothing about him except the people on Bluesky absolutely despise him. Well, of all the people to hate in the world, I had to find out why. 

 I was this many years old to know Leto was in a band, and quite a successful one at that. I just watched this video which gave me the big ick, even though I did like the song. He's good, but he's f-ing creepy. I would suppose it was part of the act, but, no. Seems he's a weird dude irl. He's a method actor which is not something to despise him for. For his role as a drug addict in the above mentioned movie, he immersed himself in the seedy side of life and apparently enjoys fasting, to the degree where he becomes emaciated. Ok, weird, but effective. He's been in some superhero films I think. I don't know because they aren't my thing. He hates Taylor Swift, which is odd. There's zero reason to hate her. She's innocuous. What else? He started some retreat and walked around like God and calls his fans cult followers. Yeah, he's an oddball.

Still, I have a list of creeps who come before Leto.

Russell Brand 

Mel Gibson 

Rob Schneider 

Mark Wahlberg 

James Franco

Blake Lively 

Subway Jared 

And that's just actors. 

So, so far, meh- except... allegations and accusations that he's a predator. I'm starting to think that's part of being a Hollywood star. Treat women like dirt. Nine women have come forward accusing Leto of egregious sexual misconduct, although he seems to be walking around freely. It's funny, though - no one mentions Brand or Wahlberg on Bluesky. Not in the circles around me anyway. Just Jared. It's weird how people become fixated on one person. Again, I know nothing about the guy other than hearsay. 

But, I had to try and solve the mystery. It just seems like the average cookie cutter actor/singer assembly line of misfits and predators.

Case closed.

The Best Books Of All Time?

  😬 I consider myself an avid reader. Having noted that, there are very few books I have read from The Guardian's best 100 books of all time. My list is less than a dozen, even counting a few I started and never finished. 174 prominent writers participated in creating brain food for your pleasure. They each contributed ten of their favorite reads and someone somewhere somehow tabulated the favorites. Without further ado, the number one book of all time is ...... Middlemarch. The fucking hell it is. Lol. Like art, what you like is subjective. Some people believe Manga is good stuff. Others prefer historical novels, blah, blah, blah. I suppose the list is supposed to be taken more seriously because actual writers who make a living writing books have listed what they deemed the best read. I'm not a writer. I suppose like a musician who reads notes, understands the structure, the form, the timbre, they can recognize the whole. I just want a book that will entertain me and not try...

Benny, Benny And No Regrets

  It's just so hard to keep up with maga creeps. Here's Benny  Johnson, the guy who started the rumor that DC was a cesspool. He also claimed his house burned down while his family was in it. He's a liar. His house never burned down. You really can't believe much of what this asshat says because he has a habit of playing with facts. He also likes to steal other people's words. He has been fired and suspended numerous times for plagiarism, at least 41 times. It just boggles my mind when these people blatantly lie, then are outraged when called out. People like Johnson, Trump and Leavitt have probably lived their whole lives creating a make believe existence where lying is the norm.
