A New World Ordered

 

So let's just think for a few minutes, rationally. What would actually happen if AI took over the job market? People go into hysteria at the very idea of machines and math taking over what humans have been doing since the beginning of the neanderthal. Farmers would no longer have to get up at the crack of dawn to feed hungry cows. A machine could milk the cows (already in progress) plant the seeds (ditto) pick the produce and drive it to market. It can also create a plan, a budget, solve further future problems and give you eight beautiful hours of sleep where you don't have to go to bed at dusk. You could go to a movie in your self driving truck. You now have precious free time where work is not 24/7. You might receive a text in the middle of the night warning you a cow is sick but AI farmer is on it. It has diagnosed the problem, ordered the medicine that will be sent by drone and all you need to do is comfort the cow in the morning. 

Police officers will no longer worry about being shot, or shooting innocent or not so innocent people. They can assess a situation and prepare accordingly. No pulling out guns when absolutely not needed. No mistaking a phone for a gun. The best part-  if your local cop gets run over or shot, it can be replaced and no one mourns the loss. 

The Amazon picker/packer. A human will no longer have to stand eight to ten hours a shift. A machine doesn't need to stop for potty breaks. A machine won't receive a message over the loud speaker to call home because a child is sick. 

There's a billion reasons why AI can be useful. It doesn't take away your artistic ability. It doesn't take away your writing skills. In fact you are now free to use your talents instead of working 40 plus hours a week. Again, people who get into a giant whinge, whining how they will never watch an AI movie, or listen to an AI song are laughable. The majority of us humans make zilch creating or writing and that endeavor doesn't go away. Maybe they're just jealous AI can do it better. 

Sure, there are issues. Grok seems to have gone rogue, but if you happen to know what Grok is doing, maybe the problem isn't Grok. It's people who enable and use AI for their own depraved thrills who are the problem.

By the way, AI hasn't gotten us into two world wars, one civil war, numerous useless wars, one demented president who threatens to take over the world and so on and so on. Humans have done so much fucking damage to this planet we deserve to be rendered 'out of order.' I doubt AI can do worse than what we have already done. 

I look forward to the new phase. It's not going away. In fact, it is so in your face you don't even notice it anymore. 

So now that you no longer have to work like a dog for seventy years, that leaves time to volunteer at a shelter. Go visit the planet. Read, paint, sing, sleep.
