When You Assume
Here I shall confess, I'm not a Swiftie. I've listened to a couple of Taylor's songs and I am not moved. I only tolerate her renting a loft in my brain because a certain relative lives for her music. Ugh. But, I admire her work ethic and she seems to be a good person. She's also in love with a football player. After she announced her engagement to Travis Kelce, pre-dead Charlie Kirk told her to submit to her husband and have loads of little Kelce's.
Whatevs. But then I see this little blurb coming from (allegedly) Variety. She was asked if she was interested in performing at the Superbowl.
"Putting his life on the line..." Uh, what? It's a fucking sport where men run around with a ball. Taylor, Taylor, what are you doing, girl? What does shaking your ass and singing have to do with a conflict of interest? This is so troubling if she actually said this. It sounds so ridiculous. Her dismissal of what she does is weird. She's made millions writing mediocre songs about breakups and bad boys and seems to find it a silly pastime. I'm glad she has found the man of her dreams. That seems to be a life priority, to find a decent man. We certainly don't want asshats in our lives and Taylor has had a few if her lyrics are about her relationships. Dang, she's gone through quite a list of bad boys. But, maybe I'm reading this wrong. Or maybe I just assumed she was an independent woman who liked men but could live without one. I made an ass out of me because I assume when I know nothing about her. I was so off about Aaron Rodgers whom I thought was a really laid back, cool dude, but was in reality drinking Ayahuasca laced tea, whilst "critically thinking" Sandy Hook an inside job, as he meditated in his Hobbit like retreat. Let me step in Taylor's high heels for a moment. "Gladiators." "Locked in." Making a face and demeaning her own music... Is it sarcasm? Right now I can't see it other than her whole goal in life was to find a man and to have loads of babies. That cool career was just a pastime until she met the man of her dreams. Will she submit as dead Charlie would advise? Sounds like she already has. Well, she's just a girl who sings songs. It's not like she's a role model who has any influence, right?
