It's A Gas, Bitches

 

If you think Dr. Harleen Grewel is the exception, then let me tell you, that's a false assumption. Dr. Grewel, (pronounced gray wall) is a dentist who practices in California. She was speaking before a group of Republican women and mentioned she's a big Trump supporter. She has pictures of Magas hanging on her office wall. She cheerfully adds that when she sees a negative reaction to the photos she knows she's got a liberal in her clutches and gives them less laughing gas, which is the stuff to suppress pain. This bitch wants them to suffer. This video was made a few years ago but just coming out now. The backlash has been enormous which is good. She needs a big FAFO intervention. The doctor was born in England, and of Indian descent. Rut-roh. She took down the infamous video but you know how that goes. It doesn't. I know my own doctor is a Maga. She's never asked me about my political affiliation but I'm sure she can assume I'm not an intolerant, racist, homophobic, rape loving minion, when I asked her opinion about getting the latest flu shot and Covid vaccine. This was during the height of the pandemic. She said yes to the flu shot and had no opinion on the covid vaccine. What doctor would give no guidance regarding a vaccine unless they were a conspiracy loaded right wing minion? Unfortunately, I'm still with her because my choices are few. She's not a terrible doctor and I only have to endure the fifteen minute visits twice a year. Unlike my previous doctor who retired and had me completely undress so she could examine me, the current doctor doesn't even touch me. 

Another incident during Trump's first go as fuhrer was when I was feeling ill and decided to go to the emergency room. As I described my symptoms to the doctor on call, he wanted to run a few tests I wasn't sure I needed, so then he blurts out, "Well don't you have that Obamacare?" in the snarkiest tone. I think he realized that was an oops by the look on my face. 

During the worst of the covid crisis I thought of someone I had grown up with who is now a nurse. She was full MAGA even before there was such a thing. Her family worshipped at the Baptist church and called African Americans the n-word, although I doubt little Loretta ever encountered one, she was raised to believe Catholics and people of color were Satan's spawn. I thought of her working at a hospital and wondered if she was giving her all to patients who could barely breathe, who ended up on machines during their last moments. There were a lot of good people during that time but there were a lot of Lorettas and Harleens as well. 

Dr. Grewel now claims it was just a joke, just as Mike Johnson claims the video of Hakeem Jeffries wearing a sombrero is a big haha. Michelle Obama would like us to go high when they go low. That's like mom telling us to turn the other check when we are bullied. I say, aim for the balls. In the case of the dentist, she should have her license revoked and sent off to Uganda. Hahaha.
