Tilly Norwood in her next film, ' Get Off The Bus'

It's here, people, and you cannot stop it. Yesterday, despite the clamor from humans claiming AI is horrible, dangerous, wrong... I saw it being used countless times. When I scroll through stories I get on Google, many of them are accompanied with an AI image. YouTube uses it to present video. It's obvious the images are AI generated. And you need only to look a little closer to confirm they're fake. A family of four was sitting down at the kitchen table eating spaghetti. Half the fork was missing in the boy's hand. Does that take away from the story they're telling? No. I can see why it's being used far more often. The advertisers needed a family eating dinner. They can look for public domain images like the ones on Pixabay where real people usually create the images and then receive a donation if the taker is willing. I've used Pixabay a few times. It's not very useful. The company can hire a family or a group of actors to sit around a table. That costs time and money. There must be a place businesses go when they need a certain shot. (I've tried searching but can't find what I'm trying to describe) Humans are hired just to eat a bowl of ice cream or look out a window, generic shots that are being replaced by AI. Today I learned of Tilly Norwood, the rising star in Hollywood. Tilly isn't a real human.

Watching her in the short clip was odd because she does look very real except her voice wasn't in sync with her mouth. Maybe just a blip, there. Actors are protesting the use of Tilly. Whoopi Goldberg opines why use AI when there are thousands of humans to choose from? Well, it's probably cheaper to use Tilly. She'll be whoever you want her to be and she won't demand a glamorous dressing room or bottled water from Mt Everest. Tilly looks like the girl next door type but I'm sure she'll eventually have some friends who will be perfectly perfect. No moles, scars, large pores, yellow teeth, or any human characteristics. They'll have smooth skin, great boobs, perfect teeth and cry on cue. Oh, and no $15 million salary either.

I don't oppose AI. I think it can be very useful, especially in science and the medical field. I don't care if Tilly becomes a star as long as the story is good and she can pull it off. I can't count how many times I've watched a movie and wished another actor had played the part or have wondered why the actor was used at all. I cannot watch 'The Shining,' because I think Shelley Duvall was so wrong for the part. What if Tilly had been the mom? Hmmm...

Anyway, people will protest to no avail. AI is here. They can all strike and be replaced. I doubt I will see the great exit of humanity from the screen in my time but it may well happen. Life is always changing. Get onboard or get off the bus.

On Facebook (might be via Tik Tok) there is a new think where AI supercuties ID themselves as "18 and interested in older men". Well, you can't fool a Ferrerman but boys in the comments are quite a bit more gullible. But what annoys me the most is AI narrations where they can't get people's names right! Saw an otherwise interesting clip of the film "Green Book" where the narrator repeatedly called the actor, "Viggo MorTENson"! Somehow AI got Viggo right though.

There's an episode on TBBTheory where a main character falls in love with Siri. Eight billion people and some go to AI for love.
