Pray Harder!

As the death toll rises in Texas from the devastating floods, Mike Johnson wants you to pray harder.

Prayer harder for what? The damage has been done. To me, praying is the lazy way out of actually doing anything. It allows the prayer to feel good because their God will do something, they have done their part.

Really?

Where was God when children huddled in terror as a disgruntled lunatic shot them all?

Where was God when two towers collapsed in a cloud of poison and blood?

And the floods. Children, away from home, swept away like broken dolls. Hey, God, there they are. How about a little help here?

I'll pray harder. Maybe you can't hear the screaming and crying and the shattering of bones.

I wonder if the lone survivor of a plane crashing to the ground, prayed? Yeah, that's what saved him. God heard him. Strange how he couldn't hear anyone else on that plane. All those little ones, babies, toddlers, all the others on that plane... Nope, didn't hear them. They must have been bad. Bad little children. Maybe God had his ear buds in, listening to Ted Nugent screaming.

I realize people need to believe in something other than this, because this world, this whole universe, although amazing at times, is harsh, it is heartbreakingly cruel. Pray if it makes you feel better. Believe in something beyond this life- I don't care- until you force your beliefs onto me. Then I will be angry. Stay out of my face with your thoughts and prayers. Stay out of our government buildings and public schools.

Mike Johnson is a man who is as brainwashed as any human can be. You should be as angry as I am when he shrugs his shoulders, has no other answer than to pray harder. This is a man whose job is about people, to make life easier for every single American, not just the God fearing, Bible reading shoulder shruggers. "It's God's way." (((shrug)))

So, go ahead, pray. The floods will come. Planes will fall from the sky. Angry, pimple faced white boys will continue to kill. As long as you can sleep at night. That's all that matters.
