How Dare You Try To Make It Nice!

Bluesky for the most part has like minded people who only wish for the betterment of their fellow humans and just want everyone to live their lives, no matter how different they might seem to be to the way we do life.

And yet, there are a few who just cross my line in the sand. If you consider Luigi Mangione, the man who allegedly murdered the CEO of United Healthcare, a saint, I don't want to know you. If you call for the death of Netenyahu, goodbye. It's not that I like to witness the destruction of an entire city or the starvation of children, but I don't like the, "do as I say, not as I do," mentality.

Last night I was a bit shocked when I watched a video of someone I follow, who usually has good ideas, but, yeah, the signs were there, the vlogger goes to the extreme- this time, too far in my opinion. There is an article in the NYTimes about Americans moving to Mexico City because it's cheaper, and well, I assume they don't want to be here. I don't want to be here! The citizens of Mexico City are very unhappy and have gone into the streets, burning and looting to show how much they really don't like the gringos in their territory because, wait for it, it will make the place so much nicer, the gentrification of the area, where the shops are clean and the streets are safe. The rub is, everything becomes more expensive so the natives are pushed out. I get that, but aren't y'all blaming the wrong people? Who owns the stores and who's renting the buildings and apartments? Even so, I don't understand the mindset where it's ok to live in shit housing and the shops are boarded up or have metal bars for safety precaution, but a loaf of bread is twenty cents cheaper.

The vlogger supported the looting citizens over the Americans who are probably scared shitless.

So, why is it okay to treat Americans like shit, intimidate them, tell them to go home, make them live in fear and call them colonizers?

Gee, anyone see the irony here?

I left a comment, not my usual, "WTF!?" cause that's how I usually roll, because the left side can be cruel, truly shitty when they feel wronged. They are usually better educated than Trump's sycophants, so they use big words to cut and hurt. So far, I haven't heard a peep, and this vlogger likes to call out people who make comments she disagrees with. I knew from the start this vlogger was super intelligent and I admit I'd have trouble following her line of thought, sometimes. Usually, though, I get the gist of the narrative. From the beginning I had the gut feeling our time together would be short. I just cannot get into the radical movement again. I'm a Gen Jones, too young to be a boomer who witnessed Kent State, the Chicago 7, Patty Hearst and the Black Panthers. I sat on the sidelines and watched people on both sides go nuts. I'm not doing that. Go out and protest. Boycott the billionaires, have your say, but...

When you start acting like them, your voice is muted.
