I Need That!

Temu. I use it. I buy from them quite often. I have never been disappointed regarding the quality of a product. I just read an article written by an unhappy Temu customer. He claims the product was inferior because it was made in China.

Knock, knock (((clink, clink, clunk))) When is the last time you bought something not made in China? He says in the article (if you don't want to read it, up there. It's right up there!) that he ordered another 'thing' from Amazon.

Knock, knock (((clink, clunk, bonk))) He didn't mention where that 'thing' was made.

I have not ordered anything since Trump became king. I may have to wait six to eight weeks for delivery, if I get it at all now.

Let's not be silly here. If America can make a product that doesn't cost twenty times more than a 'thing' made overseas, I'd buy it. I cannot think of any American product I have purchased recently.

Do I feel guilty there are young people in China working sixty hours a week with minimum wage? Kind of, sort of, somewhat.

It's called cognitive dissonance, and I suffer from it.

Mittens Romney marveled at the Chinese when he visited there in his campaign against Obama. The made $2 an hour and the jobs were so desirable they had to have a fence & guards to keep out the people who wanted those great jobs and might just sneak in and start working... Clearly he thought we could do that here! But we'd have to lower the wages a bit to make it economically feasible for the corporations... Rich people are assholes.
