I Baptise Thee, Hothead
It's hot. Normally the heat doesn't arrive until mid July, but that was in the past. This is our new normal. I don't have a/c so the nights have been extremely uncomfortable. I live in Wisconsin for a reason and it's not for this.
Anyway, let's check into the Great American Carny Festival in our capital. It ain't going so well, folks. Tomorrow it's going to be in the low 100's and possible thunderstorms. I feel sad that I get great pleasure in seeing this. I want this charade to fail. Bigly. Unfortunately, the Trump regime will make others pay for this failure. I'm not sure who they're going to blame for this. Right now they're just lying through their asses. The Fox whores and hounds have been sitting in front of a live shot of the fairgrounds which are empty and claim everything's fine, it's great! It's actually laughable and horrible at the same time. Is there a word for that?
A fun fact- people are so desperate for relief from the heat they are dipping their heads into the baptismal fonts. Okay, lots going on in that sentence. Such as, why are there baptismal pools at the Great American Carny?
Someone mentioned the funds for this 250 year anniversary began ten years ago when both parties were still acting like human beings. It was meant to be a non partisan, no religion, unbiased, beautiful celebration of our country. Instead, Trump took over the coffers and turned it into what we see today.
I still have hope regarding our future. We will lick our wounds and move on, hopefully learning some valuable lessons and making big changes, one being a convicted felon cannot be president. This is a tough year and I cannot celebrate it. Not when people are being detained in deplorable conditions. Not when people are being falsely arrested for a stupid mistake by Trump and company. And not when our elected officials continue to make light of our condition.
Let's look forward to next year and maybe someday we can have a do over, like Christmas in July, only it will be Democracy has been saved and crisis averted.
Whatever you do tomorrow, stay cool, hydrate, eat some Mt. Olive pickles and wish for better days.
