The Perfect Shitstorm

 


Well, here we are because Trump once again backed off. Someone on Bluesky got upset because others are calling it TACO Tuesday as if we're making light of the situation. I understand. I'm on the fence about using gallows humor or any kind of humor when we are faced with truly dark events. But, it also shows how absolutely insane Donald Trump is right now. He threatens to annihilate a civilization, then backs off. Tariffs, Greenland, healthcare and social security, all boasts of attacking, then backing off. He acts like a mafia  crime boss who expects everyone to cower and obey. Back and forth because it means nothing to him because it's all a game. He's still living the life of a tv reality host whose only life goal is to win the popular vote. We know he is absolutely insane and just because he has backed off for now with Iran and Greenland and tariffs and social security, doesn't mitigate how critical a situation we are in. I really felt like crying all day yesterday- for us as a nation who truly took for granted what we had because we never believed this was a possibility.  We never expected the people we voted to represent us would be money hungry cowards who hide in plain sight. I weep for the women and children in Iran who were used as human shields. Humor is our way to mentally cope with the worst of humanity. We either seek ways to relieve the anger and horrors by using dark humor, ridiculous memes and gross out skits, or we give in to the extreme toll it takes on us mentally and physically. Donald J Trump is a the shit that is on the bottom of our shoes. He doesn't deserve respect. You don't have to join in if you find it all beneath you, but try to understand why others need it. 

John McCain endured five and half years as a prisoner of war. He was repeatedly tortured by his captors. He survived because of his strong faith and humor. He and his fellow prisoners devised a tap code to communicate and McCain tapped out jokes and bawdy tales to try and keep the others from giving up hope. This is the man Trump called weak, a loser for being caught. McCain is also the man who most likely saved Obamacare by voting against the repeal. He chose to go against party lines because it was the right thing to do. We find light among the darkness.

There are so many instances where we were witness to who Trump is and yet he was given one of the greatest honors a person could ever receive and he spits on it. He dirties it and cares nothing about making life better for anyone other than himself and his bank account. He deserves zero respect. We all understand the seriousness of our situation. Everyone should be able to cope in any way they can even if that is posting memes depicting Trump as a taco.

  It's just so hard to keep up with maga creeps. Here's Benny  Johnson, the guy who started the rumor that DC was a cesspool. He also claimed his house burned down while his family was in it. He's a liar. His house never burned down. You really can't believe much of what this asshat says because he has a habit of playing with facts. He also likes to steal other people's words. He has been fired and suspended numerous times for plagiarism, at least 41 times. It just boggles my mind when these people blatantly lie, then are outraged when called out. People like Johnson, Trump and Leavitt have probably lived their whole lives creating a make believe existence where lying is the norm.
