Move That Bus!

Hey, remember that tv show, 'Extreme Makeover,' where a small group of people build a house in one week? I love those kind of shows. I will stay plastered to the TV screen to watch HGTV when I get a chance. Anything about renovating and redocorating a house is for me, so I may lose readers here when I say, "I don't care about the east wing of the White House being demolished. It's a hallway." I wasn't that upset over Jackie's rose garden being paved over, either. For a flower garden it was lacking... in flowers. The new patio area is being used and when all the twinkly lights are on its really pretty. I love twinkly lights. Most people assumed aliens from outer space would destroy the White House before a sitting president would. Lol. Boy, were they wrong.

Look people, this isn't a political position. It's about aesthetics. Trump is in his element when he can decorate a room. I think he stayed with his first wife, Ivana as long as he did because they enjoyed ripping things up and replacing it with gold covered everything. I didn't say he was a great designer but he's a zillion more times suited to that career than being a world leader.

The White House is a house. Walls, nails, glass... All these things can be easily changed. I'm more concerned about Americans going without healthcare. I'm concerned about a majority leader who is playing deadly games to appease his master. This administration is so corrupt and have such ugly hearts it'll take years to heal those wounds. Bricks and mortar can be removed. What the orange man has done to our pysche is a whole other issue. Honestly, I'd rather he focus on gold frames and white candles than be near that red button.

I get the symbolism when I see images of the wing being torn down. That is us. But I look back through history and see how many countries, like Germany and Japan have changed. They learned and they changed. Can we also learn anything from this mess we are in and make real changes? We need to tear down racism, intolerance and ignorance and start building a country of decency.

It's our home and we want to be proud of it and tell the world, "Welcome to our home."
