Denver, Dover, Dever

 

OMG! Kelly Denver, I mean Dover, no, Dever was on the stand in the Karen Read Trial. Holy Moly!

 In 2023, she wrote a statement claiming she saw two Canton police officers who were in the sallyport "for a wildly long time." where Karen Read's SUV had been towed. Now Devers, who gets snippy if her name is mispronounced, says that was all a false memory. She now says she wasn't even working at the time the SUV was brought in. Taking the stand on Monday, she accused the defense of angrily confronting her after learning she had changed her testimony, then Dever's states they threatened to charge her with perjury. She said she went to the FBI to make a complaint. Alan Jackson, the defense attorney asks, "Do you have a report?" Naturally, she did not, because she made no such report. 

Of all the people who have pissed me off, and there is a long list, she is by far the worst. She is a cop whose recall of events is crucial. She is hostile and a terrible liar. The higher ups got to her and told her to, "do the right thing," which is code for, back the blue no matter what. She is no longer a Canton police officer, although, she is still a cop with the BPD. 

This whole trial is a travesty. I hope the jury can see through this garbage. They have had to listen to this sh*t for seven weeks and may have to stay for up to three more. 

Like night and day from Kelly Dever's whinge was the testimony of Dr. Marie Russell, who believes the wounds on John O'keefe's are dog bites. She is intelligent, a professional and completely believable. The prosecutor, Brennan, accused her of wanting publicity, but she never backed down, never became hostile or unprofessional. He actually apologized later, but, you can't unring a bell. 

We saw two women take the stand, both whose credibility is imperative in their careers. One chose to lie.
