"Let's be clear."
Stop the fuck starting your viewpoint with those three words. I am seeing it all the time now, by politicians, especially. You give the implication you think your audience is stupid and needs a reminder to pay attention. It adds nothing to the relevance of whatever point you are trying to make. It makes you look like a bully boss. Some of my favorite people are using this phrase and it breaks my heart.
Just stop, please.
And now back to our regular scheduled program...
Who is shocked Jeff Bezos caved as fast as he did?
No one?
I'm shocked he even considered listing the tariff costs to consumers.
People are angry Bezos is exactly who he always was and now insist a boycott.
No. You tear that band aid off and end your relationship forever. I deleted my account, yet, I'm still getting notices from them about sales. Apparently, Amazon is like the creepy boyfriend who refuses to believe it's over.
There are many, many other options when shopping for shit we really don't need. Go to directly to the seller. Amazon is just the middleman. Yes, that free shipping is great. We'll all be paying more for that wherever we go. I just paid $19 for a document to go airmail, the whole 16.2 miles away.
Don't be put off by thrift stores. I have found wonderful items in Goodwill and St. Vincent DePaul shops.
We are entering a very dark era. Most of our money will be going for shelter and food. We don't need Amazon. We don't need Temu or Shein.
This is when the blowhard really wants to drive their point and state, "Let's be clear!"
I think I was.
No to boycott. Yes to oblivion.
Update, May, 2nd. Word on the street, actually from an insider at Goodwill. They are hiring former Amazon executives in order for consumers to achieve the Amazon experience. You know, high prices, zero customer service, servitude to the orange man. I'm incredibly disappointed. Maybe we just buy what we absolutely need to get through four years.
